Joan Wills, RN, MPA, CPHQ, CPHRM is the Director of HRM & PI for Physicians' Practice Enhancement and a nurse executive with an extensive background in healthcare administration. As a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management and in Healthcare Quality, Joan works in collaboration with our clients to provide practical educational and consultative services. These services include implementing performance improvement and patient and physician satisfaction initiatives to improve quality and decrease risk in the healthcare environment. Her significant regulatory experience includes coordinating successful The Joint Commission (TJC) surveys; developing responses to regulatory inquiries, and working for the New Jersey State Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services. She also has more than 15 years of experience in emergency medicine prior to joining PPE, including serving as the Nursing Director of the Emergency Department of a major teaching hospital in New Jersey. As a member of the adjunct faculty in the Graduate Program for Healthcare Management at The College of Saint Elizabeth, Joan taught organizational behavior. In addition to her hospital, college and regulatory experience, Joan brings her insurance industry background to her responsibilities for healthcare risk management, performance improvement and program innovations.
