Physicians' Practice Enhancement (PPE) Emergency Medicine Program was founded in 1994 to provide Emergency Department (ED) management services. Since that time, a team of highly experienced and dedicated adult and pediatric Emergency Medicine specialists and allied healthcare professionals have comprised the PPE Emergency Medicine program.
PPE's success is rooted in the fact that we have intentionally maintained a regional approach with the expertise, experience and resources of a national group. PPE is committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective, patient oriented practice management services that enhance the collective efforts of the hospital and its medical staff. We have the infrastructure to implement a performance-driven approach to excellence in your Emergency Department.
PPE Medical Directors are the key to the success of our Emergency Department programs. Through our medical leadership training and mentoring programs, we ensure all hospital goals are met by regularly working with our Medical Directors on issues such as quality assurance, performance improvement, education, and hospital initiatives. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Trained and skilled, both as a clinician and a leader, the Medical Director acts as a liaison between the Emergency Department's medical and nursing staffs, the hospital medical staff, EMS, and hospital administration. With ongoing support from our Director of Clinical Services, a Registered Nurse with experience in ED management, we work with the entire hospital staff to improve systems in the department.
PPE's success is measured by our ability to secure strong physician leadership, build stable and high-quality physician groups, and ensure sound business and compliance practices. Consequently, our role becomes more of a collegial one, providing ongoing infrastructure and administrative support.
